Guide to Selecting Reports
Finding a Report
The list of reports on the reports page is sorted by scope (e.g., district, class, student) and then alphabetically. Each report is listed in a box that contains its name, available assessments, scopes, and data types; a report type icon, and a link to an example. You can use this information to find the report you are looking for.
Still not sure which reports to run? Use the report type icon to help identify the type of report (e.g., graph, data, instructional recommendations) or click the example link to preview it. The example opens to display a brief description of the report, downloadable examples, and a screenshot. Use this information to help you identify a report before running it or simply to learn more about the report.
Need help deciding which report to use? Use the filters to refine the list of reports by assessment, scope, data type or question. The filters are a quick and easy way to help you find reports by reducing the number of reports listed to only those you are interested in. Use the filters to learn more about the types of reports the DDS has and why you might use them.
Here's an example — only show me reports at the class level.
- Check the Class box in the list of filters
- Click the Filter button.
- All class level reports are displayed
The filters work by narrowing the list of reports to show only those that meet the selected filter. If you select more than one filter within a category, for example, the DIBELS and the easyCBM Math assessment filters, then the reports displayed will include all reports that are for either DIBELS or easyCBM math. If you select multiple filters across categories, for example, the easyCBM math assessment filter and the class scope filter then reports that are for both the easyCBM Math assessment and at the class level will be displayed.
Once you identified the report you want click on the report name or one of the buttons labeled PDF, WEB, or Export. The PDF and WEB buttons will run the report as a web report or a downloadable PDF. The export button indicates the report is used to export data.
